At PIBS, students are expected to attend all scheduled lectures, classes, tests, and examinations, submit required assignments on time, and demonstrate a consistent commitment to their studies throughout the course. Enrollment in a course, along with the payment of the required deposit, constitutes a binding agreement to complete the course and pay the full fee.
In the event of a course cancellation, the following conditions apply:
Written Notice of Cancellation: Cancellations must be submitted in writing and will only be considered effective on the date they are received by the academic office.
Cancellations Made More Than One Week Before Course Commencement: An administrative charge of BDT 1,000 will be deducted from the deposit. Any remaining balance, excluding non-refundable fees, will be refunded.
Cancellations Made Less Than One Week Before Course Commencement: 50% of the deposited tuition fees will be refunded, excluding non-refundable fees.
Cancellations Made After Course Commencement: No refund will be issued for cancellations received after the course has started. Any outstanding balance on the student’s account must be cleared.
Offers for a course are specific to a particular intake. Fees paid will not be carried forward to the next intake unless a valid reason for the transfer is provided and approved by the appropriate authority.
Additional fees may apply if the revised course includes more subjects than originally enrolled for. Conversely, no refund will be issued for a reduction in subjects.
Student Performance and Behavior: The academic head reserves the right to dismiss a student from the course at any stage if the student fails to meet the required academic standards or behavioral expectations.
Course Cancellation by PIBS: PIBS reserves the right to cancel a course with at least one week’s notice prior to the commencement date. In such cases, all fees paid will be refunded in full. PIBS may withdraw a subject up to three weeks after the published commencement date if it is deemed non-viable. In such cases, an alternative subject will be offered, or a pro-rata refund of the course fee will be issued.
Compliance with Awarding Bodies: Students enrolled in courses leading to qualifications awarded by external bodies such as ACCA, CAMS, or CDCS must comply with the regulations of the respective awarding body and any amendments made over time.
False Information: Providing false information on the application form may result in suspension or expulsion from PIBS.
Non-Compliance with Academic Requirements: Students enrolled in package modules who fail to attend classes regularly, participate in mock exams, or appear for final exams may have their future courses canceled at the discretion of the academic head.
By enrolling in a course at PIBS, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions. PIBS is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of education and fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
